For nearly a decade, Thalo Blue has built its reputation as a destination marketing agency specializing in the places and experiences that set Maine apart. It started when we began our relationship with The Kennebec and Moose River Valley Tourism Council in 2011. And, while our travel and tourism marketing expertise stretches back an additional 15 years before that, our ten years working with Maine DMOs have proven the most challenging and rewarding for us.
As Thalo Blue enters its third decade, we will ensure our place in the market with our new identity, Thalo Blue Destination Marketing. While retaining the recognized Thalo Blue name and the quality work it represents, our name now very clearly communicates what we have come to be known for.
With that, we are also excited to announce the virtual expansion of our band of professionals with the addition of some supremely talented and outstanding people from Brooklyn, Boston, and Portsmouth. The recent impact of the global Coronavirus pandemic on day-to-day business practices has shown us that excellence should never be a function of geography.
To keep ahead of the inherent complications of the world of DMOs, members of the TBDM team receive daily industry emails, read applicable tourism and marketing trade blogs, apply findings in state-funded research, and partakes in ongoing professional development. This rigorous discipline keeps us in-tune with specific work niches—like social media, content strategy, email marketing, regional tourism, design trends, and new-tech. We diligently monitor world and local news, allowing us to remain in front of circumstances that affect: Maine’s regions and potential visitors. Our goal is always to be proactive, never reactive to the needs of our clients and those of their customers.
